EVENT 01: BLACKOUT

                  11:03pm. This is your weather reporter speaking, if you are in the Bliss City area, please be prepared that these storms are a lot worse than we originally thought. Repeat. These storms are going to be absolutely dreadful, stay inside, get your flashlights close folks beca--- Zoom, you can almost hear it, the sound of the lights shutting off around you. You are in complete blackness. After a few moments of letting your eyes adjust to the new lights, you catch something out of the corner of your eye, right outside your window. It's the stars - you can finally see them. You hop up and go to run outside, you open your door and bam, you knock right into someone else. You look up and it's your crush from down the hall. "Oh, hello, I was just coming to see if you were okay, yanno, black out and all,".

The blackout is city-wide, so try to please implement it somehow into all of your threads! The phones are down, wifi is down, HOWEVER - YourFuture is the only form of communication that is still up in running, thanks to their backup generators. They are also offering housing and food to anyone who is in need of it. Sorry non-users, you're out of luck! I would try and hook up with someone who is a user to keep yourself updated on the latest happenings! Thanks, have fun in the dark kiddos ;D ....there's no telling when the lights would be turned back on.


There also seems to be some confusion on chatting and contacting other Yourfuture users. You are allowed to contact people you were not matched with -- the profiles are not private. Think of it as a social networking site as well as a matchmaking site. If there's someone you're interested in talking to chat them up, or start a group chat with more than one person, which can be done either in the private messaging board (it's not simply between two people). Or, because of this event you can contact people who live near you to check up on them! I just wanted to clarify that you are not limited to speaking only to people you were matched with. Now that that's dealt with, have fun with the event guys!
